Acomplishment

We did it. We have made it to Canada! Well not quite yet. Right now Julilly and I are in a boat heading across Lake Erie to Canada! We are so excited. Everything we had put towards being free has finally paid off. We met up with Mr.Ross as well. He told us that Adam unfortunately passed away of blood poisoning because of those stupid chains! But Lester is fine and he works in St.Catherine's Canada and he wants us to meet him when we get there! I cant believe we did it. I guess its true. Dreams can come true!

Confidence

Confidence. This means a lot to me and Julilly. We escaped from the Riley plantation with Adam and Lester. We got to Kentucky and this kind little man came to help us in the place of Mr.Ross. He brought us to a barn, where we got food, sleep, shelter, its was all great. But then Lester and Adam went to get fish for the rest of our journey. They didnt come back. The got taken by the slave owners. Now all thats left is the confidence that Julilly and i have in eachother. The confidence to make sure everything that will be okay.

Freedom

Freedom is important to me because I have never had the chance to experience it. Being a slave has nothing to do with this. Knowing my father passed because of consiquences of trying to escape has made me think if its what I want to do, but it hasn't made me change my mind. It is my dream to be free. My friend Julily and I have a wish that one day we will make it to Canada, where we can be free. A place where slavery doesnt exist. Making it to Canada would be a great dream come true. It would make me feel proud of myself. It would make me feel like dreams can come true.
